I really got this exhaust mostly for the cool factor. I had no idea that it’d actually change the power as much as it has. It really boosted the mid to top of the power curve a noticeable amount. I’m able to pull gears much longer than before. Highly recommend!!

    I’ve never had an issue with my diesel at 18 psi, getting a little worried about going down this weekend cause my tires are almost bald, one of them is bald and the rest of em only have a little tread, you think I’ll be alright?

    • @TheChapMX
      @TheChapMX 11 днів тому

      I don’t wanna say the wrong thing and get you in trouble but I honestly don’t think depth of tread makes but so much difference on sand. Maybe I’m wrong that’s literally just my guess. If you’re aired down I think it’ll be good. Over the years I’ve found 18-20 front and 16 rear works best for me. Truck doesn’t have any issue whatsoever and rides super smooth. Be careful on the road with those tires. If gotten down to bands before because of a bad alignment, it’s not a good feeling. Hope you have a great trip.

      I did so much research man, hard to find definite answers. These wheels were 16x8 and 16x7 up front. The offset was +25 on all 4. The fit was great! I wanted a functional flush look, no poke or anything. Worked great for me and I didn’t have to roll any of the fenders at all. I gotta go back to be sure but if I remember right the tires were 205/45-16s. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks for checking it out.

    Why use straps for that amount of weight? Are you doing anything elss to make sure your grip strength isnt going to majorly lag behind your deadlift?

    • @TheChapMX
      @TheChapMX 16 днів тому

      I know, it’s kind of embarrassing. Most wouldn’t use them at twice this weight. I don’t use straps until I get to that days working weight. With 7 vertebrae fused, I have to be really careful with this movement so when I get up to the weight I’m really pulling hard to do I want to put all the focus on my form. As the working weight goes up, the weight I go no straps with increases as well. Correct? Idk, but it’s what I do and it works for me. Thanks for checking it out.

    • @masonlenox6829
      @masonlenox6829 16 днів тому

      @TheChapMX I wouldn't say it's embarrassing I was just curious if you were doing anything to counteract the strength lag. Sorry to hear about the back issues. Have you seen that deadlifting helps the issues or are you doing it despite aggravation?

    • @TheChapMX
      @TheChapMX 12 днів тому

      Mentally and physically it has helped me a ton. I took it very easy when I started and have slowly built my way to where I am now. It took me a good bit to be able to get in an even acceptable form, I was squatting too much vs hinging at the hip enough. With a few tweaks and strains over the course of time it felt like my back loosened up a bit and now feels much stronger and more supportive. This movement alone has helped me so much for motocross strength which is mainly what I train for. Mentally I was nervous about it and laying in a hospital bed wasn’t sure I’d ever deadlift again but with the slow increase of weight the confidence has built and it’s helped me tremendously.

    We just had a pool put up and I noticed that one of the legs slid a bit.. somebody mentioned to put this around it. Honestly, I think it’s a genius idea. I’m just wondering, is it good to put the ratchet at the bottom or is it better to put it in the middle? I’m thinking if it’s too tight at the bottom, won’t it pull the poles inwards?

    • @TheChapMX
      @TheChapMX 20 днів тому

      My thought process was since they figured tension was best lower with the original strap I'd go with that, I just made sure not to overtighten it. That ratchet could def. rip on down on it, just don't go crazy with it. Its def. a backup not something to pull the legs inward. If that makes sense.

    Man this was my 1st vehicle (16yo) same color same stripes and was purchased it in 1994 . All the same but mine was an automatic. This is very cool for me to see! I’ve only seen pictures on here and no video. I hate that the original cd player was not in it when you rescued it. I wore out some Brooks and Dunn on that old radio. I went to Circuit City and got a small amp and added 2 small box speakers that sat on the rear seats. Wires were long enough to sit on the tool box to listen to outside . I got about 2200.00 on a trade in about 7 years later. I’m still sick about selling it! Really enjoyed seeing it! You’ve done a good job on it!! Oh and …really miss the triangle windows on the front.. they should bring those back!! Curious of the current mileage on it and if it’s the original engine. If you mentioned it I must have missed it. They are definitely cool though and the tires ride so smooth so I will just switch them back and forth from time to time. Also, much better fitment with the Ray10s. They will always be my favorite. I just busted another one this past week and lost a bunch of water, different location from these supports though. I will take a look at Lowes, I appreciate that.

    2 weeks in with our 18x48 Intex Easy Set pool, and so far the included 1500gph pump/filter is doing just fine. Along with that I simply used two 3" Pool Time Maxblue 6-in-1 tablets in a dispenser, and nothing else...no other chemicals, and I manually skim it every day, and water is crystal clear. Also, the filters need to be replaced every 2 weeks, not every day. We just replaced ours, it wasn't even that bad, it just had brown colored stains and a little debris. Just purchased a $179 robotic vacuum to clean the bottom.

      Sweet!! Glad it’s working out well for you. The everyday comment was meant to be speaking of when the water is green on initial fillup or after opening, if that’s the case. If I misspoke or left that out, that’s my mistake. Enjoy y’all’s pool, they’re great.

    Technically, it takes about 70~90 seconds to change the filter and 2~3 minutes to wash existing filter and put it back in. That being said, bigger might be better, just not for the reason of “saving” 2 minutes? 1:07
